This Lions of Saskatchewan project has been developed to draw attention to "Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy". The purpose is to raise funds for the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation and to educate young athletes, their parents and their coaches.

Gary Rogers

Rogers played defensive backfor three different teams, mainly for the Edmonton Eskimosfrom 1993 to 1999. He was a CFL All-Star three times and was part of a Grey Cupwinning team for the Eskimos. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneersin 1991 for only one season. Gary Rogers spent two seasons with the Riders in 94-96. He was signed by Montreal in 1996 and played eight games for the Alouettes. In 1997 he was back with the Riders. He played in 1998 and was released in 1999. 

Rogers is a teacher/coach for Memphis University School in Memphis, TN. He is also the Asst. to the Director of Admissions at MUS. Rogers is married to Tonette Rogers and has two children named Kendrick and Mya. Gary has volunteered with youth sports and he is involved with “check your game”
